Chapter Philanthropy and Service
The Zeta Tau Alpha chapter at Salisbury University stays actively involved in community service as well as with their philanthropy.
Ladies of Theta Delta not only pass out pink ribbons on campus throughout the year but also host their very own male beauty pageant centered around breast cancer. The male pageant named Mr. Zeta is hosted every year with all proceeds going to the Think Pink Foundation to help support Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. During the pageant, the lucky contestants get to compete in various rounds involving their talents, best pick up line, knowledge about ZTA's philanthropy by answering a variety of questions and even get points for their ZTA spirit wear. The winner of the pageant gets crowned as Mr. Zeta and gets to participate in our events throughout the year as well as have the honor of being one of the judges for next year's pageant.
ZTA at Salisbury University also teams up with sports teams and does various "Pink Out" games. At the "Pink Out" games the chapter sells baked goods and t-shirts to help support Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. The chapter also sells raffle tickets at the game as well for different prizes. All of the money made at these games goes to the Think Pink Foundation.
The sisters of Theta Delta also participate in Relay for Life on Salisbury University's campus. Relay for Life is a 12 hour walk for cancer that takes place from 6pm-6am on Salisbury University's intramural fields. The sisters of ZTA fundraise for Relay for Life year round in hopes of helping find a cure for all cancers. On the day of the walk the chapter stays during the whole 12 hours and continues to fundraise as well as walk to help cure cancer.
